We had another frost delay on the golf course this morning.
My 8 a.m. tee time turned into a 9:30! But I had taken the day off for golf and was determined to play a full 18 holes. It was still a little on the cool side by the time I got to the first tee, but as long as the sun broke through the clouds I was comfortable.
The secret to staying warm on the golf course is layering. Start with long underwear made of silk, add a long sleeved blouse or turtle neck and then a vest and a windbreaker. As the sun rises in the sky and the air gets warmer, you can start to peel off the layers.
The real trick is to do all this with style. There’s no reason you shouldn’t look fabu even if you’re layering up. Recently I was asked to give some of my readers a chance to review the new fall “Cool Elements” fashions from Bette & Court and three readers eagerly agreed.
Bette&Court has designed these long sleeve print polos in polyester and spandex. All have UPF of 50 for great sun protection.
They are light, comfortable and easy to care for. Perfect for layering on those cool mornings.
Here are just a few of the comments these reviewers provided:
- Fit was fine, felt super comfortable, easy to swing a club, no restrictions
- Loved the material, washed perfectly, no stretching, no shrinkage
- I like the styling and the material. Fit very well.
- The XL sized blouse was way too big (Might have been missmarked as the small and medium sizes were fine. – editor’s note.)
- It’s a beautiful shirt and would make a special gift. A little pricey, but certainly worth it.
Do you like the look?

I own at least three Bette-court.com short sleeve golf shirts. Love the style, colors, material, and fit. Went to their website linked in your email hoping to find something I liked to freshen my wardrobe. Very disappointing since I couldn’t search by size. Seems every item I liked was not in my size. It’s time consuming browsing their site from a cell phone, one click a time. Sent them an email.
I like wearing smart wool products to keep warm in cold golfing weather. They are great, light weight and aren’t itchy. Perfect base layers for layering.
One suggestion for layering. I always wear a short sleeve “undershirt” so I can strip down to it on the golf course. Then I can take off my long sleeve shirt and put the short sleeve shirt back on as the weather warms up which it does here in Eastern NC.
Really enjoy your emails and website.
Fairways and greens,
Barbara
Sorry you were not able to find your size easily on their website. Glad you let them know it… perhaps they will make some improvements. I know you can find the Bett&Court products at other retailers on line. You should try one of our sponsors: Lori’s Golf Shoppe at http://lorisgolfshoppe.com/search.html?q=bette+and+court they have quite a collection.
