Is Your Golf Caddy Too Cool? This One Is.

Do you use a golf caddy when you play golf? I know a few players who do. But the caddy we’re talking about here is totally different from the young guy or gal who swings your golfbag over their shoulder and gives you course advice.

This Golf Caddy is guaranteed to keep your special items cool even when on a Florida “winter” day when the temperature hits 85 in the shade. Golfgurls.com recently received samples of a product designed to help keep your special items cool during those hot golf rounds. It’s called Cool-it Caddy®. These are small purse-like pouches you pop in the freezer the night before golf and next morning fill with all your bits and pieces that need to stay cool when you head out to the first tee: things like lipstick. Ever have your lipstick melt in your golf bag or pocket? It can make quite a mess. The makers of the Cool-it Caddy® promise that won’t happen again if you use one of their stylish bags.

This year, temps have reached and held in the mid-80s for weeks here in Florida. We asked a couple of our fellow golfers who play winter golf in Florida to test them out. Here’s what they had to say about Cool-it Caddy®

Q. Cool-it Caddy® comes in six different finishes and colors. What did you think of the color, styling, overall appearance?
A. Styling was fine. They seem to be very durable and well made. The zipper is solid and the insulation too. It has a small pocket mirror which I thought very convenient.

Q. What about the size of the caddy?
A. The size is convenient if you want to stick the caddy in the pocket of your golf bag. But it is a little small. I wonder if they could add a clip so you can hang it on the outside of your bag?

Q. What did you store in your bag?
A. Both women who tested the Cool-it Caddy used it to store a snack rather than cosmetics. “It would make a nice gift for golfers who want to store sun tan lotion, lip balm, medicine, make-up or a snack bar. I used it for a sandwich but it was really too small. Now I use it more for lotion and lip balm.”

Q. Did the caddy keep the contents cool?
A. Yes! It worked very well. The caddy maintained a cool temperature throughout the 18 holes – almost 4 and a half hours.

Q. What about the price? The suggested retail price is $39.95.
A. Both women thought the price too high. They showed it to others in their women’s league to get more feedback and the general reaction is that at $39.95 it’s priced too high. They would consider purchasing one or giving it as a gift if it were offered at $20-$25. One woman added: “I think it would be a great item to give as a prize or favor to each participant at a member/guest event, but the cost would be prohibitive at the current price.”

Bottom Line: The Cool-it Caddy® performed as promised. It’s stylish, easy to carry and store cosmetics or lotions, very well constructed and has great features like the small mirror and pocket—and it kept the contents cool. Only two points of concern: size was a little small and  the price was a little high. Overall our testers were very satisfied.

Result: We give Cool-it Caddy® 4 Tees!

You might tell the gals who reviewed our product a couple of things……..no clip on the Cool-it Caddy because we don’t want it clipped on your golf bag as it would be in the direct
sun. Also, we are coming out in June with a new product called Icepops. Same concept but made out of a canvas type of fabric and will retail for $25.00. It is bigger(can hold a sandwich) but has less detail so is less expensive…..sounds like that is what these gals were looking for. Thanks again!
