PGA Show: Day Three – A Black Lamborghini, Men In White Coats and Women Who Know Best

REPORT FROM THE SHOW: Day 3 of 4

It was another great day at the PGA Golf Merchandise Show.

I slept in (a little). Headed for the show in time for a 9:15 lecture on staying fit for golf. I recorded the session and will be posting it with a lot of visuals sometime next week. Great information about how not to get injured when you play golf. Proactive information. That was followed by a lecture on the results of a couple of studies on how best to practice golf to improve your play. The ideas are in total sync with the teaching philosophy of the two women I interviewed later in the day, Pia Nilsson and Lynn Marriott of Vision54.com. That interview will post soon as well.

I met the man who invented The First Foot, a putting training device. I was able to get one to bring home to have it reviewed by some of our readers. More on the device to come.

Stopped by the Callaway booth again and picked up some more information about their new line of clubs, the RAZR set that they are featuring in sync with the production of the latest Lamborghini sports car! A winning combination if you ask me. Got my pic taken next to the car. One can dream!

And finally, after talking with golf fitters, golf fitness instructors, specialists in training, marketing and how to look your best on the course, I managed an interview with one of the salesmen in white coats: a mythbuster on the subject of golf balls, particularly the Titleist ProV1. All will be revealed soon. The pros at the Titleist booth all wear beautiful white jackets. Slick and stylish.

It was another great day of information, trade show hub-bub and overall golf trade show exhaustion.

Tomorrow is the last day of the show. I have two sessions in the morning with the women from Vision54. The focus is on how you can become your best player on the golf course. It’s complicated and very simple at the same time.

I fly home to the snows of Boston later in the day. Have a shovel in my car trunk just in case I need to dig out of the parking lot! Will be posting some of the best of the interviews in the coming days. Stay tuned.

Sounds like you’re having a great time! Perhaps you could prolong your stay in FL and avoid returning to the cold for a few days? Hope your car isn’t under a big lump of snow when you get home….

Thanks for your encouragement. Unfortunately mother nature has a great sense of humor. Lots of snow and digging out in the dark when I returned…!
