Chromax Golf Ball Review

A few weeks ago I received a sample box of Chromax Golf Balls. What a great looking group of colored balls! Bright, shiny and in attractive packaging. I published a post highlighting some of the tech information behind the ball’s development which you can read here: https://golfgurls.com/color-reflects-game/

Chromax Golf BallsI passed out all the Chromax balls I had on hand. And the golfers in my league were eager to try them out. Here’s the bottom line of the Chromax Golf Ball Review: It was a love – hate relationship. Some of the golfers absolutely loved the Chromax. Loved the color, loved the fact it was hard to lose the ball in the rough or in the leaves and loved the way the ball performed. A couple were ready to go online and buy a sleeve or two of Chromax.

But, alas, there were others who really didn’t like the ball, especially when putting.

“It flies all right,” one tester declared, “but when I try to putt, it feels like I’m hitting a rock.” Not good. So I did a little digging. This particular golfer has a medium to fast swing and almost always plays with a soft covered ball. The Chromax she was testing was the new Distance Ball with a 90 Compression – a harder cover than she was used to.

However, a second golfer in the same group loved the Chromax distance ball. “I usually play with a Titleist ProV1 and this Chromax feels very similar, and I like the way it feels when I putt. Not only that, but I love the fact it’s so shiny. I hit into the woods and found it right away.”

Bottom Line: The Chromax is best suited to golfers who like a harder cover and a quick, response off the putter face. It comes down to feel and personal preference. And, if you are like many golfers and once in a while hit your ball out of bounds, you’ll really appreciate the highly reflective surface of the Chromax. Makes it almost impossible to lose the ball.

If you’re searching for a new ball, it’s worth it to test out the Chromax. You can find out more and find a retailer near you by visiting their website: http://chromaxgolf.com/
