First, let me make it clear, I’m not a big fan of the golf show, Big Break. I’m not a fan of most reality shows. But as I was playing golf at Amelia Island Plantation this past fall when the production crew was filming this next season, I’m curious to see how it all plays out.
Have a look at the trailer:
But that’s not the only reason. The women’s game of golf seems to always come in second to the guy’s game. This next season of Big Break does not include the usual parade of celebrities or NFL players who try their hand at golf. Big Break Florida is women only.
The fact that Golf Channel has chosen to feature an all women’s Big Break Season is reason enough for me to watch.
These women are all talented golfers. Yes, most are young and super cute and wear foolishly short outfits. (How can you seriously play the game when everything you own is hanging out there?) But these women are all really good golfers and are serious about the game. Click here to see each of the players and read their bios. In the mix of competitors are state champions, collegiate winners, and professional golfers.
The show premiers on Golf Channel February 24 9pm, ET

There have been at least four all-women editions of Big Break since the premiere in 2003 starting with edition 3 “Ladies Only.” Edition 5 was ladies only as was the 2008 edition. Later there was Sandals and Atlantis. Besides the ladies only versions, there are a good number of coed programs now. I think The Golf Channel was testing the waters with the first two all-men editions. We love the show and tape every episode.
Golf Channel must have discovered there’s an audience for this format… all women… I’ll be watching too. Thanks for the info on previous seasons… do you think they are on Netflix or Hulu???
I can’t wait!
