A few weeks ago I was approached by a sport/fashion manufacturer from Canada: Nivo Sports. They specialize in quality golf apparel designed specifically for lady golfers. I checked out their website and found this description:

I was impressed with the look of their product line and when they asked if GolfGurls could mention them in a future post, I was happy to set up a product review and sent out a call for a couple of women golfers to test outfits from the Nivo Sports current line. Happy to report I quickly found two very eager volunteers.
Each golfer received a top and bottom to match their size requirements. I asked each to wear the outfit during a round or two of golf and report back as to style, comfort, wearability, breathability, and washability!
Review: High marks all the way around. These are beautiful clothes, with great styling and easy care fabrics that are super comfortable to wear. Here’s one woman’s enthusiastic feedback.
I got the outfit and love, love, love it! It is very comfortable, lots of stretch in the top. The skort has 4 pockets that are very important. The material is lightweight and will be comfortable in the hot weather. I also like the top coming several inches below the waist. I don’t have to worry about mid-rif bulge showing when I swing. I am a color person and love the bright orange against the chocolate brown. The only negative is that the skort is about 2 inches longer than I would like. Everyone is different, but shorter would be more comfortable for me. – E.H.
Our second volunteer chose a white top from the Nivo Sports online catalog, and let the bottom choice be the manufacturer’s. They sent a skort with a bold geometric pattern of blues and pinks. She too loved the outfit. Very happy with the fabric — reported it to be very comfortable for golf, and loved the styling of the skort she reviewed. The only drawback was that she had to take in the seam a bit on her top to make it fit a bit more snugly, but that was a personal choice. Otherwise the outfit was great.
Bottom Line: Nivo Sports wins a high recommendation – 4 1/2 Tees!

I like the look and comfort of a skort. They are feminine yet you typically don’t need to worry about the length being too short or tugging the hemline down every time you get our of the golf cart!
I agree, though I prefer bermuda length shorts or capris … I want my clothes to look good and never be distracting while I play… playing the game is tough enough as it is without worrying if my “whatevers” are showing!!! 🙂
I type about as well as I play golf….that should have been “wear a skort” NOT “wear a short”
As I’m just getting back into golf after a 35 year lapse, I prefer bermuda shorts. I love the look of skorts, but in my mind, if you wear a short, you better play well! ;=))
