The U.S. Open is just a month away. On June 9th, the U.S. Open Challenge will be held.

We’ve written about this in one of our previous posts. Peggy Ference, an amateur golfer from Skillman, NJ will join three celebrity golfers at the Pebble Beach Golf Links to play the Open course at the US Open Challenge, sponsored by Golf Digest, NBC and USGA. The goal is for each of the four amateur players to break 100 over the course of the 7,040 yards. All four play from the pro tees.

Can Peggy do it? With a 4.9 handicap, she will be joining Drew Brees, quarterback of the New Orleans Saints, famous hockey star, Wayne Gretsky, and actor Mark Wahlberg in making golf history. NBC will air highlights of the round just before the final round of the U.S. Open on Sunday, June 20th.
