After a lot of hard work and years of preparation it all comes down to this week and the final Volvik Race For The Card Final Event. Watch the following video featuring one of the top players, Christine Song, who shares a bit about how tough the journey can be.

For the last 33 years the Symetra Tour has been the official development tour for the LPGA. The mission of the tour: to prepare the world’s best young women professional golfers for a successful career on the LPGA Tour.

Their 2013 schedule included 15 tournaments in 15 states with a purse that is close to $1.8 million.

To get to compete in this final tournament players must have competed and qualified through three stages of competition, put in hundreds of hours of practice, and paid thousands of dollars in entry fees. After all that, only the top 80 elite players out of the hundreds who start, are allowed to compete in this final Symetra Tour Final Event. And it’s happening this week. First Final Round September 26, 2013.
