This is one for the books. PGA Pro Sergio Garcia plays a golf trick shot from a tree!

Every lose your golf ball in a tree? Hasn’t happened to me — yet! I usually lose my golf ball in the lake or the deep woods, and after searching in the bushes and leaves for 5 minutes, I just take the penalty and move on. But not PGA Pro Sergio Garcia. When he “lost and found” his ball in the crook of this big tree during the Arnold Palmer Classic, he was determined to get it out without a penalty. Watch and see what happened.

What’s the rule? The tree was not out of bounds so there was no penalty. Play the ball as it lies! Hit it back onto the fairway if you can and keep on truckin’. No penalty.

NOTE: At about 18 seconds into the video one of the officials appears in the frame and looks at his watch. Not only did Sergio have to get up in the tree, and hit the ball back onto the fairway, but he was up against a “delay of game” penalty if he did not do it in a timely manner. Wild stuff.
