It’s late summer/early fall and Golf is still going strong here on Cape Cod. The courses are in great shape in spite of the drought and golfers are out there, hitting the links every day.
I asked a couple of fellow golfers to review the latest golf fashion tops from Antigua. The company has such a great reputation, it wasn’t hard to get volunteers. I asked each to wear and wash the shirt a couple of times and report back on comfort, styling and wearability.
- Would they buy this item for themselves?
- Would they buy it as a gift or recommend it to a golfing buddy?
The final results were not surprising.
Striker – 100% polyester Desert DryTM Xtra-Lite D2XL moisture wicking jersey knit yarn dye engineered stripe short sleeve polo. Button placket & open cuff. Yarn dye striped flat knit
“I have worn the shirt — just last Tuesday — A very muggy day. This is best wicking golf shirt I have ever worn. It kept my skin totally dry. (I perspire a lot as I prefer to walk the golf course.) This shirt allowed me to feel cool but not cold. I don’t know what the fabric is but — even with all the mugginess on that day, the fabric did not kling to my skin and allowed a total range of motion for my golf swing. Great shirt!” – P.B.
The Radical – 100% polyester Desert DryTM Xtra-Lite D2XL moisture wicking solid interlock knit short sleeve polo with printed zip placket, self fabric collar, sublimation print at raglan sleeves, contrast narrow cover stitch at princess seams. Triangle patch at bottom front panel.
“The shirt was comfortable and I loved the colors and design, but I’m not fond of raglan sleeves because I’m so broad shouldered. I would probably choose another style.” – J.C.
