Golf Between The Raindrops in Orlando Florida

Golf in Orlando Florida

Golf is best played outdoors on a sunny day, about 74 degrees, gentle breeze, or no breeze at all, with great companions, and your game in the “zone.” I was hoping for just these conditions here in Florida. But alas, it is raining and I am, as you can see, blogging at the moment.

My clubs are unpacked. They arrived unscathed, though it took nearly an hour for the airline to get our bags off the plane, down the chute and onto the conveyor belts. Orlando is a very busy airport!!!The new golf bag, a Tour Trek Orion, did it’s job and I am one happy camper.

Just called Bruce Gerlander, the General Manager at Orange County National Golf Center and Lodge and set up an appointment to meet with him and take a tour of their facility. From what I see on the internet, they have one of the best practice facilities around. I have been housebound by the snows of New England for the last couple of months and our season up north begins when I return from this trip, so I will certainly do a few practice drills at Orange County.

Tomorrow, I’ll post a review! In the meantime I will watch a golf movie and get in the “zone” with a glass of wine.
