These Are The Best Golf Socks To Wear In The Heat!

I have discovered the best golf socks to wear in the heat!

I am fussy about my golf socks. Maybe I am being picky, but my feet are too important to ignore, and when you play golf in the heat, the best socks to wear in the heat are the pair I just got from KentWool. Honest. Wool socks in the heat? I wouldn’t have believed it without actually testing them out. Just goes to show how ignorant I am about the benefits of natural fibers!

Kent Wool Socks - the best golf socks to wear in the heatI must admit I’ve been very careless about my choice of golf socks. I care about my golf shoes but when it comes to socks, I usually grab a pair of cheapos at the dollar store or off the discount shelf. They might be colorful, but usually the material is thin, is out of shape after the first wash and worst of all, most of the cheap socks I buy, creep!!! You know what “creep” is, right? It’s when the action of your walking causes the socks to slowly slip down into the shoe, leaving your heel exposed. If you’re not careful you can get one big blister on your foot where the shoe rubs against your exposed flesh. A blister like that can really ruin an otherwise good round of golf.

So I was happy to get a pair of new socks to review. When I opened the package and saw the brand name, KentWool, I was a little skeptical. It’s blazing hot here on Cape Cod. Wool=warmth. Why do I want to wear hot socks???

My fears were unfounded. Before I tried them on, I checked out the company’s website. They have an entire section dedicated to golf socks! And the faces of the golf pros who use these socks — Bubba Watson, Matt Kuchar, Kristy McPherson and Ryann O’Toole are all parading across the bottom of the web page. They all endorse KentWool Socks!

So I put on the socks and discovered all those pros were right. These socks are perfect! They feel really soft and cushiony and keep my feet cool! Wool does things I never knew it could do. Like wicking moisture so your feet stay dry when the grass is wet, and warm when the air is cool. And the wool blend they use is super fine merino – which means it has all these little air pockets which makes the socks feel “cushiony”— i.e. very soft and comfortable.

And best of all… these socks are designed with a little soft ridge at the top, just behind your heel, which prevents the socks from creeping down into your golf shoe. No creeping!!!

You wear socks when you golf? You’ve got to try KentWool socks. Your feet will be very happy. Honest.

I bought a pair of these last year when Bubba Watson was promoting them on Facebook or some other golf website. They were pricy, but I gritted my teeth and decided to try them, hoping that they would help with my feet feeling so tired and sore after some rounds. Well worth the price!! And my feet don’t get as tired when I am wearing them! They really do cushion your feet and keep them dry even in hot and humid Georgia weather! They are also great with my everyday walking shoes and, of course, are warm in the winter.

Nancy – I agree the price for these socks is high… one reason I too hesitated… but you are right. They are super comfortable.
