Want to golf in comfort this fall and winter? The northeast of the U.S. where we live, still has a few weeks of decent golf weather left, but it won’t be long before the winds really start to blow and the golf clubs are stored in the closet ’till spring. That is, unless a little golf trip south is in the cards. Check this out:

Lei, a golfgurls.com reader, just left a comment and link to her blog: http://carolinabestdeals.blogspot.com and through that site to a great golf travel site: Brunswick Isles. Here’s a quote from Lei’s site:

46,000 avid Golf World readers recently ranked the best courses in the nation on a 100 point scale. Now these folks are true, certified golf nuts. They love the game and they know a good course when they see it. When all the votes were tallied, the 2010 Golf World Readers Choice Awards ranked 14 Brunswick Isles Golf Trail courses among the best golf experiences in the nation.
…The line up is impressive: Rivers Edge, Thistle, Bald Head Island Club, Oyster Bay Golf Links, Tidewater, Glen Dornoch, Heather Glen, Sea Trail Golf Links (3 courses) and Ocean Ridge Plantation (4 courses).

They have some great golf packages to consider. Click here to view. Thanks for the info, Lei, — makes me want to hit the road again soon!

. . . . .

May every hole be a birdie!

Thanks for passing the word to all those women golfers out there. I’m from D.C. originally and I headed south for a winter golf getaway every year before finally moving to Myrtle Beach. Now I’m one of the folks here who likes to roll out the red carpet for women (and men) golfers. So, come on down!
